KEEPSAKE GIFT BOX

I LOVE this paper. I bought several pads of it and it's not cheap. 🤣 I'll definitely make a lot of projects, using it.

EXPLOSION BOX COMMISSIONS!

In March, I was lucky enough to squeeze in a quick trip to Japan, with my daughter. After I returned home, I made this adorable Explosion Box, to save my favorite photos. These boxes are so much more fun than a boring photo album!

Because of this box, I received THREE Explosion Box commissions. That's when I knew I was onto something.

I am loving this extra time given to me by the Covid-19 virus. I am having so much fun learning how to make movies in IMovie and Premier Rush, among other things.

IT'S BEEN SO LONG!

It's been so long since I've posted. Crazy how much life has changed since then. Covid-19 has really had an affect on how we do things, these days. And the civil unrest in the country has also had such a change on the way we think in this country.

The way we live and how we live, will never be the same.

One of the many places of change is in my art. I'm so eager to share all the changes!

Soon, I will be teaching the class, again. I am looking forward to seeing all the new students!

Cell Phone Stands

These are fun pieces made from scrap glass. (Although some of the pieces were scored/sanded to find better in the composition)

This is an abstract piece. Fits the larger sized cells, too!

This is one that's called.... "Hanging With My Peeps" and is also made with scraps (but some pieces were scored and sanded too).

King Without a Castle

Poor Princes...

This is Mount Battie, a beautiful observatory landmark in Maine. In the severest of cold temps in January, it's so wonderful to see a warm, sunny day in Maine.

My Etsy Shop!

I have reopened my Etsy Shop and listed some photos!

Here's one of the prints listed. Please visit My Etsy Shop <----By clicking here to arrive in CraftyPease's shop!

I hope to have really decent images made from some of my paintings. When I do, I will be listing some prints of my paintings, too! Maybe, eventually I will list some stained glass, but right now it's too cold in my studio (glass doesn't behave well when it's too cold).

Thank you for visiting. Please come back soon!

CATCHING THE SUN

This is my third cut glass project but instead of taking a full sheet of glass and cutting it up and re-soldering together, I cut each piece from a separate piece of glass and fitted them into one piece.

Not a fast craft which is FINE with me. I am really enjoying the whole process.

Teaching Myself This Craft

Second piece finished!

The first two "stained glass" pieces are in plain clear 3mm glass I got from our local hardware store to learn how to cut the glass, foil and to solder the pieces back together - it's definitely a learning process! (This looks like it's been covered with a coat of patina but not yet. The actual piece still has the silver solder color.) Thank you for visiting. Please come back soon!

Something New!

I have always been in love with stained glass art. During tennis districts last summer, my bestie picked out the best B&B for us to stay and it was FULL of stained glass. Before this month, I never considered I'd one day try it. Don't ask me how this craft's path suddenly became real to me... I have NO idea. One day I found myself in a stained glass shop buying supplies and getting very excited! 😃 Who would've ThUnKeD? Now it's a whole new world!

This is my first completed piece! Done in clear glass so that if I mess up I won't be to heartbroken. In this piece, I practiced cutting glass in a straight line, copper foiling and soldering.

SCANDAL

Acrylic on 20x16" canvas. (This piece will be available as soon as it completely cures and is varnished.)

I call this Scandal probably because I've been bing watching Scandal on Netflix. LOL! But it does look like the olive on the right did something wrong and the other two on the left are discussing it.

It's been hard to concentrate on the canvas these day but I am making it my mission to get back into the "stroke" of things! I'd really like to have a regular studio schedule like I used to about a decade ago.

Thank you for visiting. Please come back soon. This is my latest piece. Several people on FB asked me why olives. I don't know... why not? LOL!
