“Orrington, ME”

ORRINGTON, ME
Oil on Canvas
10x8 Inches

My husband and family are from Maine. What a wonderful place for a newbie landscape painter to paint. I am eager to take another road trip to see my inlaws; they will love the time with their grandchildren and I will enjoy capturing all the sites for future paintings!

Very nice work on this! Good job simplifying from the photo. Your brushstrokes make everything look so soft and inviting.

Keep up the good work - I can't wait to see your Maine landscapes!

Leslie, I still can't believe you are a newbie at landscapes! Great job, nice soft feel to the grasses. Are you going to do any plein air this spring?

I think a plein air piece from you is just around the corner :) your syle lends itself to it. Maybe if we get some nice weather!!!
the WC site has a plein air forum, check it out (if you havent already) you can get lots of tips there.
